Artist: Edwin Locke, for the FSA
Title: Walker Evans
Year: 1937
Medium: Photograph

This is a portrait of the photojournalist Walker Evans, although the work of Evans is provocative and a bit heartbreaking, I feel that this photograph of him has enough emotion as if it were one of his own. If you would like to check out the work of Walker Evans, I encourage it.

This is a photograph that I found in one of many boxes of photographs that lived in my grandmother's house for years. It's been a task to unveil all of the photographs and see what's really worth keeping, but I fell in love with this photograph in particular. Unfortunately I have no idea who took it, or who is posing in it. Regardless, it is one of the greater finds in the collection.

Year: 1977
Medium: Gelatin Silver Print

I absolutely love the work of Helena Almeida. She doesn't call herself a photographer or a painter, but I would most generally call her a photographer. If she doesn't want to confine to labels, I understand, but for the purposes of ease, we'll just say that she is a photographer. She is really and incredible artist, and I would have put up some images from her "Inside Me" series, but I couldn't find specific titles to the pieces that spoke the most to me. So just google Helena Almeida and see what you find.

One of my favorite photographers.
I do not know the specific titles or dates for these pieces,
But I love them.
